What is the best way to fill out the Order Form?

Enter only one edge banding and exterior material combination per order form. All cabinets come in ½ deep increments 24”, 23 ½” 23”, 22 ½” and so on.       Order Wall, Wall Deep, Pantry and Oven cabinets using EASI System Increments.

Start out with one base cabinet type. Lets say the type is Kitchen Base “KB” and begin with the base corner cabinets, Base Angle “KBA” and Base Lazy Susan “KBL”. Next, enter tall cabinets that mount on toe kicks, Pantries “P” and Oven’s “O”. Next enter the Base cabinets, “KBD, KBDD, KBSC, KBDB”. After that, enter the Wall corner cabinets, Wall Angle “WA” and Wall Lazy Susan “WL”. Continue with Wall and Wall Deep cabinets, “W” & “WD”. Go to the next base cabinet type needed “MV, SV, DB” and follow the same procedure, “one cabinet type” base corner cabinets, tall cabinets, base cabinets, wall corner cabinets, wall and wall deep cabinets. Repeat for as many types as needed.  List any additional items like panels, fillers or hardware on the Order Form following your list of cabinets using the Order Form like lined notebook paper. The base cabinet types are Kitchen Base “KB”, Master Vanity “MV”, Standard Vanity “SV” and Desk Base “DB”.  Bookcase cabinets are Pantries “P” used as bookcases.

How does the numbering system work?

The Order Form has a column labeled “EASI#”. This is where we put the “Room-Cab” number that is assigned by the computer on the Elevation Drawings. The “Room” number is at the bottom of the elevation drawing next to the date and the “Cabinet” number is in the lower left corner of the cabinet. Page 1 is the first page of the Order Form you’ve sent to EASI and the Line Item 1 is the first line on the order form. For multiple page orders there will be Page 2 Line Item 1 and so on. We will fill out the Order Form Confirmation in the exact order as you filled out the Order Form. On the Order Form Confirmation the EASI cabinet number (Room-Cab) appears to the left of each line item (Page-Line) for convenient cross referencing.  (see below)

How do I make my cabinet number match your number?

Several of our cabinetmakers have offered this tip. Using the Order Form Confirmation, write your number in the left margin next to the Room-Cab & Page-Line columns. If there is not enough room try-offset coping or staple a piece of paper onto the Order Form Confirmation. (using the Width2 column is another option) Then transfer your number from the Order Form Confirmation directly into the cabinet on the EASI System elevations supplied with your order. Keep an original and send copies to assembly. After assembly write your number on the assembled cabinet for proper identification.

Can I get the EASI System made from materials other than white?

Any material is available for use with The EASI System including drawers. EASI System cabinets are priced using white melamine and we add in the cost of the special material. There is a cost for each cabinet that is made from a material different then white melamine. If the whole order is made from a special material then only the cost of the optimized material is included.

Do shelves come with my order?

Standard base cabinets get one shelf and 30 ¼” wall cabinets get two shelves. Generally cabinets get one shelf for every 12” of clear space. You can request other quantities in the Special Instructions column on the Order Form.

What is the correct way to order section heights? (horizontal partitions)?

Section heights are the clear inside height between partitions or between a partition and the top or bottom. List each section height required in the Special Instructions column. The section heights are displayed just underneath the Horizontal Partition on the elevations sent with the confirmation of your order. When matching a pantry top section door to a wall cabinet door, take the wall cabinet section height, add 3/8” (10mm) and use it for the Pantry or Oven top section height. If you find it easier or need more room you may include a simple line drawing with your order.

How do I measure the length of the return panel?

You may order any size return panel you wish. In the special instructions column on the Order From indicate whether it is a right return panel (RRP) or a left return panel (LRP). The return panel will be made from the same material as the Exterior Material entered on the Order Form. The return panel is mounted on the face of the cabinet so it will flush to the face of the door.   The formula we like to use for base cabinets with a return panel is; first determine the exact cabinet length needed. Then subtract ¼” (6mm) from that length which leaves a little room for adjustment. Add the adjacent cabinet depth plus ¾” for the door thickness plus 3” for the spacer. 3” spacers fit most applications. Ex: lets say the adjacent cabinet is 24” deep, the door is ¾”, the filler is 3” then  - ¼” + 24” + ¾ + 3” = 27 ½”  (698mm) 12” deep wall cabinet return panels are.  - ¼” + 12” + ¾” + 2” = 14 ½”  (368mm)

How do I order light valance cabinets?

The best option is to order the cabinet the height required. If the doors cover the light valance indicate in the Special Instructions column on the Order Form that the cabinet is to have a light valance and we will move the bottom up two system increments - 64mm  2 ½”. Always use 32mm increments for this option. If two cabinets are to span a light valance, in the Special Instructions column on the Order Form, note which cabinet side will be shortened. If 3 or more cabinets span a light valance order the middle cabinets the height required less the light valance height and in the Special Instructions column on the Order Form indicate that the doors are to hang below the cabinet the height of the light valance. We recommend full height cabinet sides that go against a wall to smooth the process of installing scribes.

Can I add drawers to a pantry or oven cabinet?

For orders made completely of a special material, add the cost for the number of panels needed.
